Abaddon vs Mirana

How this matchup plays

Landing a long-range Sacred Arrow often sets up a guaranteed kill, but Abaddon makes that plan unreliable. Aphotic Shield provides a strong dispel that can instantly free an ally from the stun, completely ruining Mirana's follow-up burst. If Abaddon himself is the target, Borrowed Time will frequently activate to negate the damage, allowing him to walk away. This interaction forces Mirana to reconsider her primary ganking tool, as Abaddon can consistently nullify the setup she relies on to secure kills for her team.

The matchup isn't one-sided, however, because Abaddon has almost no way to threaten Mirana in return. If he tries to run at her, she can simply Leap away to safety. This leaves Mirana free to use Moonlight Shadow to set up ganks on other heroes away from Abaddon's protection, or to focus on farming and contributing damage in teamfights. Abaddon is forced into a purely defensive role, reacting to Mirana's aggression rather than creating his own, which leads to a standoff.
