Underlord vs Huskar

How this matchup plays

Fighting into an Underlord is a frustrating experience for Huskar. The plan is usually to Life Break a target and run them down, but Atrophy Aura immediately cuts the physical damage needed to make that stick. Getting caught in a Pit of Malice is also a huge problem, as it holds Huskar in place under a full Firestorm. Huskar can often survive the magical burst thanks to his passive, but being rooted and having his damage reduced makes it difficult to secure the quick kill he relies on.

This dynamic creates a game of tempo. Huskar can try to dominate the lane with Burning Spears and snowball before Underlord's team can effectively group. A successful gank from Huskar can be completely reset by a well-placed Fiend's Gate, however, saving the target and repositioning the team. If the game goes long, Underlord's area control and damage reduction start to overwhelm Huskar's single-target focus. The outcome depends on whether Huskar builds enough momentum to end early, or if Underlord can stall long enough for his teamfight presence to take over.
