Underlord vs Monkey King

How this matchup plays

Picking a physical damage core into Underlord presents a real problem. Monkey King relies on building up Jingu Mastery stacks to win trades and deal his damage, but Atrophy Aura guts his attack power from the very start of the lane. This makes it incredibly hard for him to secure last hits or threaten a kill. Later on, Underlord's Pit of Malice is a perfect answer to Wukong's Command, rooting Monkey King and preventing him from getting his attacks off inside his own ultimate. It’s a direct toolkit mismatch that favors Underlord at every stage.

This dynamic defines the whole game. In lane, Monkey King starves for farm and can't build the momentum he needs. In teamfights, he's forced to play on the fringes, because if he commits with his ultimate, Underlord can shut it down with a single spell. Even without that, the constant damage reduction from the aura neuters his impact. Monkey King has to find isolated targets far away from Underlord, while Underlord is content to stand with his team, control the space, and make it impossible for Monkey King to play his game.
