Alchemist vs Bane

How this matchup plays

Catching an Alchemist during Chemical Rage is the whole game plan for Bane. Fiend's Grip provides a long, single-target disable that can completely neutralize Alchemist's regeneration and damage output, allowing Bane's team to burst him down. Nightmare also sets up an easy stun chain for ganks, disrupting Alchemist's farm significantly. This constant threat forces Alchemist to prioritize a Black King Bar, because without it, he's a very easy target for Bane to lock down and kill anytime he shows on the map.

The matchup really comes down to a timing race. Bane has a clear window in the early and mid-game, where he can roam and find kills on Alchemist before that BKB comes online. A successful gank or two can cripple Alchemist's economy. However, once Alchemist gets his key items, especially that spell immunity, the tables can turn. He can then activate his ultimate and BKB and run straight at Bane, who has few options to escape or kite him. It all depends on whether Bane's team can capitalize on their lockdown before Alchemist's farm gets out of control.
