Bane is a lane bully and single-target lockdown support whose Fiend's Grip and Nightmare remove one hero from a fight entirely. He's strongest into immobile casters and farm-reliant mids — Tinker, Mars and Nature's Prophet all get disabled out of the game at the worst moment. Bane is weakest into heroes that ignore single-target control: Naga Siren Songs through his setup, while Spectre and Lycan bring too many bodies and illusions for one Grip to matter. Draft tip: take Bane to neutralize a key enemy core; avoid him as your only disable into illusion or summon-heavy drafts.
