Alchemist vs Monkey King

How this matchup plays

Trying to burst down a target is what Monkey King does best, but Alchemist is uniquely prepared for it. The huge health regeneration from Chemical Rage often lets Alchemist survive Monkey King's initial combo, even with Jingu Mastery stacks. He can then turn the fight with his own physical damage. In teamfights, Alchemist's Acid Spray covers a large area on the ground, reducing armor and making it risky for Monkey King to navigate the battle. The spray also provides vision, which can knock Monkey King off his perch if he tries to use Tree Dance to reposition or escape.

The game often becomes a race against the clock. Monkey King wants to create pressure and secure kills early, trying to snowball before Alchemist's farm accelerates. Alchemist, on the other hand, focuses on getting his core items as quickly as possible. Once he's farmed, he can be incredibly difficult to bring down, forcing Monkey King to change targets. This dynamic favors Alchemist slightly, as his primary goal of out-farming the enemy directly counters Monkey King's need to find and eliminate key heroes.
