Alchemist vs Oracle

How this matchup plays

Disarming Alchemist or dispelling his Chemical Rage with Fortune's End can feel like the key to winning a fight. Oracle has the tools to make Alchemist's life very difficult, stripping away his main source of survivability and damage. A well-timed Fate's Edict can also stop Alchemist from attacking a key target, buying crucial seconds for Oracle’s team to react. This control makes Oracle seem like a natural counter, as he can directly interfere with the core of what Alchemist wants to do: pop his ultimate and hit things until they fall over.

The matchup often comes down to a race. Alchemist farms much faster than most heroes thanks to Greevil's Greed, and he will aim for an early Black King Bar. Once he has it, Oracle loses the ability to dispel his ultimate or disarm him during teamfights. Alchemist can then activate BKB and run straight at the fragile Oracle, who has few ways to escape. The game’s outcome frequently hinges on whether Oracle's team can pressure Alchemist enough to delay that BKB timing, or if Alchemist gets the space he needs to farm and render Oracle's control ineffective.
