Ancient Apparition vs Mirana

How this matchup plays

Dodging a cross-map Ice Blast is much easier for a hero with an instant repositioning tool. Mirana's Leap lets her sidestep the tracer projectile, often nullifying Ancient Apparition's attempt to impact her side of the map. The same goes for Cold Feet; Leap provides a clean escape from the area before the stun can activate. This means Ancient Apparition has a hard time locking Mirana down or hitting her with his ultimate without significant help from his own team's stuns.

This interaction gives Mirana's team a slight advantage in fights. She can take more aggressive positions, knowing she has a built-in escape if Ancient Apparition tries to snipe her. It forces the AA player to be more selective, either waiting for Leap to be on cooldown or simply targeting a less mobile hero. It doesn't shut him down completely, as he can always hit someone else, but it does mean Mirana herself is a less reliable target for his biggest spell, which can be enough to tip the scales.
