Ancient Apparition vs Riki

How this matchup plays

Trying to land Cold Feet on a Riki feels almost impossible. He's always on the move, and a simple Blink Strike gets him out of the stun radius instantly. Ancient Apparition relies on enemies being slowed or held in place to do anything, but Riki is defined by his mobility and elusiveness. If Riki closes the distance, his Smoke Screen silences and blinds, leaving the fragile support completely helpless with no escape. Even AA's ultimate, Ice Blast, requires careful setup and vision, both of which are things Riki's playstyle is designed to deny.

Throughout the game, Ancient Apparition becomes Riki's favorite target. AA wants to stay far behind his team, but that separation makes him an easy solo kill for a hero who can become invisible and close gaps in an instant. This forces AA's team to play reactively, investing heavily in sentries and defensive items to try and keep him alive. The burden of survival falls entirely on the AA player and his allies. Riki only needs to find one opening to remove Ancient Apparition from a fight before it even begins, crippling his team's potential.
