Ancient Apparition vs Snapfire

How this matchup plays

Trying to land a Cold Feet stun on an enemy core is a lot harder when Snapfire is on their team. She can use Firesnap Cookie to force her ally out of the stun radius, completely negating the spell. This interaction defines much of their direct conflict. Ancient Apparition is also extremely fragile and has no mobility, making him a prime target for Snapfire's burst damage from Scatterblast and Mortimer Kisses. If she gets close, he's unlikely to survive. This forces AA to play from very far back, relying on his spells' long range to have an impact.

Throughout the game, this creates a constant positioning battle. Snapfire wants to close the distance or find an angle to jump the backline, while Ancient Apparition needs his team to create space and protect him. A well-placed Ice Blast from AA can still turn a fight by preventing all healing on Snapfire's team, but it does little to stop her from running him over personally. The matchup often hinges on which hero's team is better at executing their respective game plan: the dive and burst from Snapfire's side, or the peel and control from AA's.
