Ice Blast can turn any attempt at lifestealing back to full into a death sentence, forcing Sven to play more cautiously and stick with his team. This threat can slow his pace. On the other hand, Sven’s entire game revolves around building a BKB, activating God's Strength, and running directly at fragile backliners. If he can get the jump, Ancient Apparition dies almost instantly, and the fight-winning potential of the ultimate is removed before it can be a factor.

The matchup often boils down to a game of positioning and timing around Black King Bar. Sven looks for opportunities to close the distance and kill Ancient Apparition before Ice Blast lands, often relying on Blink Dagger and his team’s help to get in.
