Head-to-head Dota 2 7.41f win rate from ranked matches.
In Dota 2 7.41f, Ancient Apparition wins the Ancient Apparition vs Undying matchup: Ancient Apparition beats Undying in 53.23% of 36,474 ranked matches.
Thinking that Ice Blast is a simple solution to Undying often leads to trouble. In lane, Undying is a nightmare for a slow hero like Ancient Apparition. The constant threat of Tombstone combined with Decay spam can easily lead to repeated deaths and a lost lane before AA has the levels he needs. If the game goes later, however, the dynamic flips. A well-placed Ice Blast completely negates the healing from Soul Rip and Flesh Golem, turning Undying into a much more manageable target in teamfights. The outcome really depends on which hero gets to execute their game plan first, making it a very even fight.
