How this matchup plays

Picking a durable carry often means considering how they sustain through a fight. Ursa's plan is to stand his ground and overpower enemies, frequently relying on lifesteal from items to replenish his health while Enrage reduces incoming damage. This core part of his identity is directly countered by Ancient Apparition. A single Ice Blast projectile landing on Ursa nullifies all healing, turning him from a persistent brawler into a much more fragile target. He can’t press his advantage or turn a fight with a clutch Satanic if his health bar is frozen.

This dynamic forces Ursa to adjust his entire approach to teamfights. He has to be much more careful about his entry timing, hoping to either burst a key target before the Ice Blast hits or wait for it to be used on someone else. For the Ancient Apparition player, the goal is simple: land the ultimate on Ursa before he can get his lifesteal going.
