Anti-Mage vs Legion Commander

How this matchup plays

A successful Duel on a farming Anti-Mage often decides the mid-game. His entire game plan revolves around using Blink to escape danger, but Duel provides a hard lockdown that he has no way of breaking. It completely neutralizes his mobility. Furthermore, Anti-Mage's Counterspell provides great defense against magic, but it does nothing to stop the pure physical damage Legion Commander and her team will be dealing to him while he is trapped. It's a perfect counter to his defensive tools and his escape plan, all in one ability.

This interaction forces Anti-Mage to play an entirely different game. Instead of split-pushing and farming aggressively, he has to constantly worry about Legion Commander's position as soon as she has a Blink Dagger. A few deaths from Duel will not only slow down his farm to a crawl but will also make Legion Commander a snowballing threat with permanent bonus damage. The burden is on the Anti-Mage to avoid her at all costs, while she gets to dictate the tempo of the game and hunt him across the map.
