Anti-Mage vs Outworld Destroyer

How this matchup plays

Thinking you can blow up Anti-Mage with Sanity's Eclipse is a common trap. The reality is that Anti-Mage's entire kit is built to punish heroes like Outworld Destroyer who rely on massive mana pools. Each hit from Mana Break is crippling, draining the fuel for OD's Arcane Orb and leaving him vulnerable. Once his mana is low, he becomes a prime target for a Mana Void finisher. While Counterspell adds another layer of defense against OD's ultimate, the core of the matchup revolves around AM’s ability to turn OD's greatest strength—his huge intelligence and mana—into a liability.

The game becomes a race against the clock. Outworld Destroyer needs to leverage his powerful mid-game timing to force objectives and end the game before Anti-Mage can farm his key items. If the OD's team can't successfully pressure the map and find kills, AM will eventually hit a point where he can blink aggressively, drain OD's mana in seconds, and take over teamfights.
