Anti-Mage vs Snapfire

How this matchup plays

Thinking Snapfire is an easy kill is a common mistake for an Anti-Mage. Her kit has several ways to disrupt his typical jump-and-burst pattern. Firesnap Cookie can save whichever ally he blinks on, or stun him against a tree if he gets too close. Even if he gets on top of someone, Lil' Shredder eats through physical resistance, making him surprisingly fragile to return damage from a core. Counterspell can block one of Snapfire's spells, but she has multiple ways to slow him down or force him away.

This advantage plays out in the mid-game, once Anti-Mage starts hunting supports. Snapfire’s job is to stay positioned behind her team, ready to peel. Mortimer Kisses can be a real problem for him, creating a large slowing field that makes it difficult to chase or escape cleanly, even with Blink. A smart Anti-Mage will try to bait out the Cookie or wait for her ultimate to be used elsewhere before committing. Snapfire wins by staying patient and using her spells reactively, while Anti-Mage looks for a window when her guard is down.
