Arc Warden vs Beastmaster

How this matchup plays

Pushing into Arc Warden’s side of the map feels difficult for a Beastmaster. His whole game is about grouping his summons to pressure objectives, but Spark Wraiths can clear out the boars and other controlled units efficiently from a distance. While a well-timed Primal Roar can lock down and kill the real hero, the Tempest Double makes this complicated. Arc Warden can apply pressure in two places at once, forcing the Beastmaster to either split his attention or commit to a push that might be defended from across the map. Magnetic Field also offers strong protection against the physical damage from Beastmaster and his army.

The game often boils down to a race against the clock. Beastmaster hits his stride in the mid-game and needs to leverage Primal Roar to take towers and build a lead before Arc Warden gets his core items. If the game goes late, the advantage tends to shift. A farmed Arc Warden with his double can defend high ground against a siege almost indefinitely, clearing waves and summons from a safe position. This stalls out Beastmaster's game plan and forces his team into awkward fights away from the towers where he is less effective.
