Arc Warden vs Lion

How this matchup plays

Trying to jump the real Arc Warden is Lion's whole game plan. With instant lockdown from Hex and Earth Spike, he has the tools to hold Arc Warden in place for his team to kill. The problem is always finding the right one. Arc Warden's Tempest Double lets him fight from extreme safety, forcing Lion to guess which one is real. Using Finger of Death on the clone is a disaster, but ignoring it can get Lion or his supports killed by overwhelming magic damage. This creates a tense standoff where neither hero wants to fully commit their spells to the wrong target.

As the game develops, it becomes a battle of positioning and initiation. A Lion with a Blink Dagger is a constant threat, able to appear and instantly disable Arc Warden before he can react. On the other hand, a farmed Arc Warden can make it impossible for Lion to walk anywhere on the map safely. He can use his double to scout and place Spark Wraiths, often bursting the squishy Lion before he even knows he's in danger. The outcome usually depends on which player gets the better jump, leaving the matchup feeling very dependent on execution from both sides.
