Arc Warden vs Rubick

How this matchup plays

Picking Rubick into an Arc Warden is often a bet on stealing Tempest Double. A successful steal creates a second Rubick who can also cast stolen spells, which can be game-winning. The reality, however, is that an experienced Arc Warden knows this is the main threat. They will often use a less valuable spell like Spark Wraith last, making it difficult for Rubick to grab the spell he actually wants. While Magnetic Field is also a good steal, it's a defensive ability that Arc Warden might not even need to cast in a fight where Rubick is close enough to take it.

This dynamic leaves the matchup in a bit of a stalemate. Arc Warden is content to split-push with his double, farming from a safe distance and making it hard for Rubick to find the real hero. For Rubick to swing the game, his team needs to find and lock down the true Arc Warden, forcing him to use his defensive spells and creating an opportunity for a steal.
