Arc Warden vs Sniper

How this matchup plays

Facing Arc Warden puts Sniper in an uncomfortable position. The main reason is Arc Warden's Tempest Double, which can be sent across the map to hunt Sniper down. This effectively bypasses Sniper's primary defense of long attack range, as the clone can use items to close the gap and lock him down while the real hero farms safely elsewhere. Adding Magnetic Field to the mix can stop Sniper from attacking a key target or structure, and Spark Wraiths create zoning problems for a hero who is already slow and vulnerable when forced to move.

As the game progresses, Arc Warden can use his clone to apply constant pressure, forcing Sniper to play reactively. A successful Sniper needs to secure deep vision to spot the real Arc Warden or purchase items that let him escape or survive the clone's initial assault. The Arc Warden player, on the other hand, wants to leverage this map control to pick off Sniper before a major fight begins. The advantage isn't overwhelming, as Sniper can still win a direct fight if he gets the jump, but Arc Warden's kit gives him the initiative.
