Arc Warden vs Windranger

How this matchup plays

Trying to burst down a target with Focus Fire runs into a big problem against Arc Warden. His Magnetic Field can completely negate the ultimate's damage from the outside, forcing Windranger to either reposition into danger or find a new target. The Tempest Double adds another layer of confusion; using a long cooldown ultimate on an illusion feels terrible, but guessing wrong can let the real Arc Warden escape or turn the fight. Arc's single-target slow, Flux, also creates an awkward situation for Windranger, as she's often trying to play solo and Windrun isn't always enough to reach safety in time.

As the game progresses, Arc Warden tends to pull ahead by farming much faster with his double. While Windranger wants to roam and secure kills with Shackleshot to build momentum, Arc can safely farm multiple areas of the map at once, building a lead that's difficult to contest. This forces Windranger into a reactive role, trying to catch an elusive hero who is happy to split push and avoid direct confrontations. If the game goes late, Arc Warden's ability to defend high ground makes it incredibly difficult for Windranger's team to close things out, giving him a small but consistent edge.
