Arc Warden vs Zeus

How this matchup plays

Splitting the map with a Tempest Double becomes a real risk against Zeus. His ability to reveal your position with Lightning Bolt and hit the real Arc Warden with Thundergod's Wrath, no matter where he is, punishes the core strategy of farming safely from a distance. The consistent magical damage is hard for an un-itemized Arc Warden to deal with. On the other side of it, Zeus is one of the most fragile heroes in the game. If Arc Warden’s clone gets on top of him, especially after building some lockdown and damage, Zeus has almost no way to survive the sustained physical assault.

The matchup often comes down to a game of vision and initiation. Early on, Zeus has the advantage, able to disrupt Arc Warden’s farm and punish him for being out of position. Arc Warden has to itemize carefully, sometimes needing an early defensive item to survive the constant burst. Once Arc Warden has his key items online, the tables can turn. Zeus must then play with extreme caution, as being caught by the Tempest Double is a death sentence. It’s a true cat-and-mouse dynamic where the first hero to find and control the other usually wins the engagement.
