How this matchup plays

Getting caught by Fiend's Grip is often a death sentence, but that certainty is shaken when playing against a Dawnbreaker. Her ability to respond globally with Solar Guardian creates a problem for Bane. While the target can still be killed before she lands, the threat of her arrival forces Bane’s team to commit more damage and spells than they otherwise would. The incoming heal and stun can be enough to turn a simple pickoff into a messy, losing fight for the aggressors, making Bane's signature lockdown feel less reliable.

This dynamic changes how Bane must approach the map. A simple gank in a side lane becomes a calculated risk if Dawnbreaker is alive with her ultimate available. Instead of being a pure initiator, Bane has to be more reactive or wait until Dawnbreaker has shown herself somewhere else. This map-wide pressure doesn't stop Fiend's Grip from being a strong spell in a full teamfight, but it does limit its effectiveness for creating man-advantage situations. Dawnbreaker gains a slight advantage by forcing Bane to play around her global presence, rather than the other way around.
