Bane vs Queen of Pain

How this matchup plays

Catching Queen of Pain is the entire problem, and Bane has multiple solutions. Fiend's Grip offers a long-duration lockdown that completely negates her ability to Blink away after initiating. Even outside of his ultimate, a well-timed Nightmare can achieve the same goal, sleeping her long enough for teammates to collapse and kill her before she can escape. Bane’s single-target nature is a direct answer to a hero who relies on getting in, bursting a target, and getting out safely. He simply doesn't let her get out.

This dynamic forces Queen of Pain into a much more passive role all game. Instead of confidently blinking on supports, she has to constantly worry about where Bane is positioned. She's often pressured into buying a BKB or Linken's Sphere much earlier than she'd like, delaying her core damage items and slowing her tempo. A patient Bane can effectively neutralize QoP's aggression by simply existing near his teammates, turning her primary strength—mobility—into a massive liability. Her aggressive plays become easy opportunities for Bane to secure a kill.
