Beastmaster vs Lifestealer

How this matchup plays

Fighting into Beastmaster's menagerie of boars and controlled creeps is usually a chore, but for Lifestealer it’s a source of endless regeneration. His Feast passive scales with enemy health, turning every one of Beastmaster's durable summons into a walking health potion. Even Beastmaster himself, as a tanky strength hero, becomes a primary target that fuels Lifestealer's sustain in a fight. While he can't dodge the stun from Primal Roar with Rage, he can activate it to ignore the boar's slow and any magic damage follow-up, letting him stick to his target without being easily kited.

This dynamic makes it difficult for Beastmaster to execute his typical game plan of pushing towers and controlling the map. His attempts to pressure objectives with an army are often stalled out by a single Lifestealer who can clear the entire wave and end up at full health. In teamfights, Beastmaster is put in a tough spot. If he uses his ultimate on Lifestealer, the carry often survives the duration and immediately turns the fight. If he uses it on someone else, Lifestealer is free to Rage and run down Beastmaster's team, starting with the biggest health bar he can find.
