Beastmaster vs Lycan

How this matchup plays

Fighting for control of the map with summons often favors Lycan. His wolves, buffed by Howl, tend to trade efficiently into the boar and other units Beastmaster brings to a fight. This creates a small but consistent advantage when both heroes are trying to execute their similar game plan of pushing down towers with an army. While a well-timed Primal Roar can certainly punish an overextended Lycan, the mobility and raw damage from Shapeshift usually lets him dictate the pace of these engagements. It’s a contest to see who can knock down buildings first, and Lycan is often better equipped for that race.
