Beastmaster vs Mars

How this matchup plays

Trying to trade in lane against Beastmaster is frustrating for Mars. His Bulwark is meant to make him durable, but it does nothing to stop the magical damage from Wild Axes or the boar’s persistent poison. This constant, unblockable harass whittles him down over time. Beastmaster can also position his boar to intercept a Spear of Mars or to apply its slow, making it hard for Mars to control the creep wave or set up his own combos.

This early pressure often allows Beastmaster to dictate the pace, taking objectives while Mars is stuck trying to recover. Later on, Mars relies on Arena of Blood to trap key targets, but Beastmaster’s summons clog the fighting space and make it messy. More importantly, a well-timed Primal Roar can disable Mars inside his own Arena, completely negating the initiation. Mars has to find pickoffs on isolated heroes, as a straight-up fight often favors Beastmaster’s control.
