Beastmaster vs Templar Assassin

How this matchup plays

Getting your Refraction charges shredded is the core of the problem for Templar Assassin. Beastmaster's summoned boars and his own attacks apply multiple quick hits that burn through the shield almost instantly, leaving her completely exposed. Wild Axes adds to this, stripping away her defense with a single spell. The boar's persistent slow also makes it difficult to control the lane, escape ganks, or chase for kills. This constant pressure undermines TA's ability to dominate the early game and build the momentum she relies on.

Later on, the dynamic shifts but the difficulty remains. Templar Assassin wants to find pickoffs from Meld, but Beastmaster's hawk provides vision that can easily foil those attempts. The main threat in teamfights is Primal Roar, a long, BKB-piercing stun that singles TA out for death. She is forced to play cautiously from the edges of fights, hoping Roar is used on someone else. Beastmaster, on the other hand, can actively look to initiate on her and remove the primary damage threat from the equation before she can act.
