How this matchup plays

Applying Rupture to a support seems like a free kill, but that's often a fatal mistake against Witch Doctor. He's perfectly happy to stand still and channel his full kit back at you. A well-timed Paralyzing Cask can stop Bloodseeker's charge in its tracks, buying enough time to drop Maledict and a full Death Ward. The same lockdown that makes them a great pairing also defines their duel. Bloodseeker's main tool to actually win this fight is landing a Bloodrite silence before Witch Doctor can cast anything, but that's easier said than done.

Throughout the game, this becomes a tense standoff. Bloodseeker wants to play on the edges of the fight, looking for the moment Witch Doctor is isolated or has used his stun on someone else. If he can get the jump and the silence, he wins. Witch Doctor plays from the backline, using his teammates as bait. He knows if he can survive Bloodseeker's initial burst, his spells will turn the engagement completely. The fight often comes down to which one of them gets to execute their plan first.
