Brewmaster vs Sniper

How this matchup plays

Getting jumped by a Brewmaster is a nightmare for Sniper. A successful initiation means Primal Split comes out, and there's often nowhere for Sniper to run; the lockdown and chase from the spirits are too much for him to handle alone. Brewmaster also has evasion that makes it hard for Sniper to trade right-clicks effectively. The main problem for Brewmaster, however, is closing that initial gap. Sniper's long attack range and the vision from Shrapnel can keep him at a safe distance, poking and slowing before an initiation is even possible.

The lane often goes Sniper's way, but the entire matchup shifts once Brewmaster gets a Blink Dagger. From that point on, Sniper has to play with extreme caution, relying on good vision and teammate support to avoid getting instantly deleted. If Brewmaster can’t find an opening, though, Sniper gets to play his ideal game, standing far behind his team and picking targets apart. It really comes down to which hero dictates the positioning of the fight and who has better support from their team.
