Brewmaster Counter Picks — 7.41f
Who counters Brewmaster in Dota 2 7.41f? Counter picks and matchups for Brewmaster, ranked by win rate from ranked matches.
Brewmaster is a teamfight offlaner whose Primal Split unleashes three spell-immune elementals — a disable, a tank, and a damage dealer — making him nearly unkillable mid-fight. He's strong into immobile casters who can't deal with the Split: Tinker, Timbersaw and Mars fold to his elementals. Brewmaster is countered by early aggression and disable that beat him before Split: Chen out-pushes early, while Naga Siren, Oracle and Dark Seer neutralize his fight. Draft tip: Brewmaster is a top-tier teamfight pick into low-mobility drafts; he's weaker into early-push (Chen) and his Split is undercut by clever saves/control.
In Dota 2 7.41f, the heroes that counter Brewmaster hardest are Phantom Lancer, Legion Commander and Riki — Brewmaster wins only 45.1%, 45.9% and 46.9% of ranked matches against them.
How to counter Brewmaster: why these picks work
- Legion Commander — Duel disables abilities — a Brewmaster caught before pressing Primal Split simply never splits, and without the ultimate he is a midgame stat-stick.
- Riki — Smoke Screen's silence is the same death sentence from a different angle: no Primal Split inside the cloud, and Drunken Brawler's dodges don't help a silenced panda.
- Anti-Mage — Mana Break drains a notoriously small mana pool: a Brewmaster tapped below his ultimate's cost before the fight starts is exactly the target Anti-Mage exists for.
- Lifestealer — Rage shrugs off Thunder Clap and the storm panda's Cyclone — the split's main control — while Feast melts the real Brewmaster's big strength pool.
