Brewmaster vs Zeus

How this matchup plays

Surviving Zeus's initial burst often comes down to timing Primal Split correctly. A well-timed split removes Brewmaster from the map, making him an invalid target for both Lightning Bolt and Thundergod's Wrath. Once split, Zeus struggles to handle the spirits; the Earth panda is spell immune and the Storm panda can use Cyclone to take Zeus out of the fight entirely. However, before that happens, Zeus can easily harass and whittle down Brewmaster from a distance with his constant magical poke, making it dangerous for Brewmaster to even approach a fight with low health.

This dynamic creates a standoff where each hero plays around the other's ultimate cooldown. Brewmaster's main objective is to get a Blink Dagger, find Zeus, and force a fight where his spirits can run rampant. Zeus, in turn, has to maintain careful positioning far behind his team, using his vision advantage from Lightning Bolt to avoid getting jumped. Even if Brewmaster successfully uses his ultimate to save himself, Zeus can still impact the wider teamfight with his sustained damage and use his global ultimate to punish other low-health heroes, making the outcome of any single engagement uncertain.
