Clinkz vs Lifestealer

How this matchup plays

Trying to burst down a Lifestealer often comes down to a test of reaction speed. Clinkz brings an enormous amount of physical damage from invisibility, but it's not instantaneous. This gives Lifestealer a small window to activate Rage. While Rage doesn't stop the physical arrows, it prevents slows and other debuffs, allowing Lifestealer to immediately close the gap and start fighting back with his own lifesteal. If Clinkz can't finish the job during his initial barrage, he's left exposed and vulnerable against a hero designed to win a toe-to-toe fight.

The matchup revolves around who gets the jump on whom. Early on, Clinkz is the hunter, looking for pickoffs on a farming Lifestealer. A successful gank can set Lifestealer back significantly, but a well-timed Rage or a quick Infest into a nearby creep can turn the gank completely and secure a kill on Clinkz. As the game progresses and both heroes get items, the risk for Clinkz increases. Lifestealer becomes too durable to be solo-killed, and can start actively hunting the fragile archer in fights, forcing Clinkz to play much more cautiously.
