Clinkz vs Phantom Assassin

How this matchup plays

Choosing a hero to pick off supports from the shadows is a solid plan, but it often falls apart when Phantom Assassin is the opposing carry. Clinkz relies entirely on landing a full duration of physical burst from Burning Barrage to secure kills. Phantom Assassin’s Blur gives her a constant, passive chance to evade those attacks, completely shutting down his damage potential without needing to press a single button. While Clinkz wants to stay at a safe distance, PA can instantly close that gap with Phantom Strike, leaving the frail Clinkz with no way to disengage once she’s on top of him.

This forces the Clinkz player into a reactive and uncomfortable game. He must either spend the whole match avoiding Phantom Assassin, which is hard for her to allow, or he has to purchase a Monkey King Bar. That item choice is a huge detour from his preferred build and delays his core timings significantly. Meanwhile, the PA player can be much more proactive. With basic detection, she can confidently farm lanes where Clinkz might be lurking, knowing that if he opens on her, she’s very likely to survive the burst and turn it into an easy kill for herself.
