Clinkz vs Sniper

How this matchup plays

Controlling the map feels like a knife's edge in this matchup. Clinkz exists to find and delete a single target, and Sniper is often that ideal target: fragile and without a natural escape. Using invisibility, Clinkz can close the distance and unleash a full barrage before Sniper can even react. However, the reverse is equally true. If Sniper or his allies have detection, the approach is easily spotted. A well-placed Shrapnel slows Clinkz to a crawl, allowing Sniper to attack from a distance Clinkz can't possibly close, often killing him before he can even land a shot.

The entire mid-game revolves around this dynamic. A successful Clinkz keeps Sniper permanently dead or hiding in his base, crippling his farm and making it safe for his own team to take objectives. On the other hand, if Sniper's team provides good vision and protection, they can bait Clinkz into overextending for a kill. A few failed ganks from Clinkz can give Sniper all the space he needs to get his core items. The game is often decided by which hero's team better enables their specific game plan.
