Disruptor vs Medusa

How this matchup plays

Farming the map against a Disruptor often feels safer for Medusa than for other carries. His core combo of Kinetic Field and Static Storm is designed to trap and kill a single hero with magic damage. Medusa, however, can usually survive the full duration of his ultimate by relying on her Mana Shield, especially after she completes a core item. While the silence from Static Storm prevents her from using Stone Gaze to retaliate immediately, the fact that she can withstand the damage means Disruptor alone is rarely a lethal threat.

This forces the Disruptor player to change their approach. In the early game, Glimpse is still a potent tool for punishing an overextended Medusa and setting up kills with allies. As the game continues, though, the burden shifts. For Disruptor's combo to be effective, his team must be ready with overwhelming follow-up damage to burn through Medusa’s mana and health. If they can't, he risks using his biggest cooldowns on a target that simply survives and turns the fight.
