Medusa (Dusa) Counter Picks — 7.41f
Who counters Medusa (Dusa) in Dota 2 7.41f? Counter picks and matchups for Medusa, ranked by win rate from ranked matches.
Medusa is a hyper-late-game carry whose Mana Shield makes her absurdly hard to kill and whose Stone Gaze turns a whole team to stone. She crushes immobile heroes once online: Timbersaw, Templar Assassin and Beastmaster all lose the scaling war. Medusa is countered by mana burn and break: Anti-Mage shreds her Mana Shield with Mana Break and Mana Void, while Nyx Assassin burns her mana and Tidehunter locks her down. Draft tip: Medusa is a game-ending late carry into low-mobility drafts; she's hard-countered by Anti-Mage, Nyx, and mana-burn line-ups that beat her shield.
In Dota 2 7.41f, the heroes that counter Medusa hardest are Anti-Mage, Nyx Assassin and Wraith King — Medusa wins only 37.7%, 40.6% and 43.7% of ranked matches against them.
How to counter Medusa: why these picks work
- Anti-Mage — Mana Break drains the pool that IS Medusa's health bar — every hit removes both her resource and her survivability, and Mana Void detonates whatever's left.
- Nyx Assassin — Mana Burn scales off Medusa's enormous intelligence and hits her shield where it hurts, while Vendetta finds her before she's surrounded by her team.
- Sniper — Sniper chips the Mana Shield from beyond Split Shot's effective range — Medusa either burns mana tanking poke she can't answer or cedes the high ground siege.
- Centaur Warrunner — A blink Hoof Stomp starts the fight on top of Medusa before her damage comes online, and Retaliate punishes every Split Shot arrow she sends back.
