Disruptor vs Oracle

Getting caught by Glimpse into a Kinetic Field and Static Storm combo is usually a death sentence, but Oracle has the tools to prevent it. A single cast of False Promise on the target completely negates Disruptor's burst damage, allowing the ally to survive the full duration of the ultimate and turn the fight. This interaction can single-handedly waste Disruptor’s biggest cooldowns. Oracle can even use Fortune's End to purge the Glimpse debuff itself, though the timing is much tighter. This direct answer to Disruptor's core initiation pattern is the basis for the advantage.

This dynamic forces the Disruptor to play around Oracle all game. He has to check if False Promise is on cooldown or try to catch a target that Oracle can’t save in time. It adds a layer of complexity and potential failure to his ganks. Disruptor can still be effective by zoning with Kinetic Field and harassing in lane, and a good team can bait out the save. However, knowing your primary combo has a direct counter on the enemy team gives the Oracle's side a consistent, if small, sense of security in fights.
