Disruptor vs Witch Doctor

How this matchup plays

Trying to channel a full Death Ward against Disruptor can be a nightmare, since Static Storm will instantly shut it down. Glimpse is also a constant threat, pulling Witch Doctor out of a safe channeling position before he can even start. However, this goes both ways. A well-aimed Paralyzing Cask can bounce to stop Disruptor from casting his combo, giving Witch Doctor the opening he needs. If Maledict lands on the already-fragile Disruptor, any return damage becomes lethal very quickly. The matchup often comes down to who gets their spells off first and on the right target.

Throughout the game, this creates a duel of positioning and patience. The smart Disruptor holds Static Storm specifically for the Death Ward channel. The smart Witch Doctor waits for Disruptor to be distracted or uses fog of war to start his ultimate safely. Neither hero wants to be the first one seen by the other in a teamfight. A single misstep from either support can completely negate their impact on a fight, making this a very tense and balanced interaction where individual skill often decides the outcome.
