Doom vs Luna

How this matchup plays

Targeting Luna with Doom feels like a foolproof plan, but it rarely works out. Her primary damage comes from her basic attacks and Moon Glaives, which are completely unaffected by the silence and mute. She can continue fighting effectively through the ultimate's duration, and a common Manta Style pickup can cause Doom to target the wrong hero entirely. Luna also farms so quickly that she gets a Black King Bar at a timing where Doom is still trying to establish control, shutting down his main way of initiating a fight on her.

This forces Doom to find a perfect, isolated pickoff on Luna before she can press her BKB, a window that closes very fast. In most games, Luna is the one setting the pace. She groups with her team to push towers, using her bouncing attacks to clear waves and pressure buildings. If a fight breaks out, Doom has a hard time even getting close enough to use his ultimate. And if he does, a BKB-enabled Luna can often shred him and his team before the fight even really begins.
