How this matchup plays

Getting jumped by Doom is often a death sentence for Templar Assassin. Her entire survivability is tied to Refraction, which gives her a buffer against incoming damage and allows her to turn fights. The silence from Doom's ultimate completely shuts this off, leaving her incredibly vulnerable. Without access to Meld or a refreshed Refraction, she has no escape and no way to mitigate the heavy damage-over-time that follows. Even his other abilities can burn through her defensive charges quickly, setting up a kill for his team.

Mid-game fights hinge on who finds who first. Doom will typically buy a Blink Dagger and look specifically for Templar Assassin, aiming to neutralize her before she can delete a support. Her game plan becomes about tracking Doom's position and playing cautiously when his ultimate is likely available. Building a Linken's Sphere or securing an Aegis becomes a priority for TA to survive the initial lockdown.
