Drow Ranger vs Razor

How this matchup plays

Stealing all of Drow Ranger's damage with Static Link seems like an obvious counter, but the interaction is much more of a stalemate. Drow has excellent disengage tools to deal with Razor's aggression. A well-timed Gust can instantly break the link by pushing him away and silencing him, giving her a window to reposition or fight back. The constant slow from Frost Arrows also makes it very difficult for Razor to stay close enough to maintain the link in the first place. The matchup becomes a duel of positioning and cooldowns rather than a simple shutdown.

Early in the lane, Razor can often bully Drow with his natural durability and the threat of running at her. Drow's objective is simply to survive and get her items. As the game goes on, the fight hinges on who gets the drop on whom. If Drow Ranger gets a good initiation with her team, she can burst Razor down before the link becomes a factor. Conversely, if Razor can close the distance on Drow, especially with spell immunity, he can render her completely ineffective for the duration of a teamfight.
