Drow Ranger vs Timbersaw

How this matchup plays

Controlling the map becomes difficult when your frontline initiator simply melts. Timbersaw relies on building up Reactive Armor to survive fights, but Drow Ranger's Marksmanship allows her attacks to pierce right through it, making his primary defensive tool feel useless. Even trying to close the distance is a nightmare for him. Drow’s Frost Arrows will slow Timbersaw to a crawl, preventing him from ever reaching a position to use his spells effectively. He’s completely disabled before the fight even begins.

This dynamic forces Timbersaw to abandon his role. Instead of creating chaos on the front line, he has to hide in trees and hope for a pick-off on a support, completely avoiding the enemy carry. Drow Ranger plays with confidence, hitting objectives and daring him to show up. If Timbersaw ever tries to Timber Chain in, a single Gust will silence and knock him back, leaving him stranded and exposed. He can’t initiate on her, and he can’t tank her damage, which fundamentally breaks what his hero is meant to do.
