Drow Ranger vs Templar Assassin

How this matchup plays

Controlling the map against a Templar Assassin becomes much simpler for Drow Ranger's team because her kit fundamentally dismantles what TA wants to do. Templar Assassin relies on Refraction to survive and initiate fights, but Drow's Multishot and naturally high attack speed strip those defensive charges away almost instantly. Should TA manage to blink in for a Meld strike, a single Gust will knock her back and silence her, completely neutralizing the burst attempt. Drow Ranger can then use Frost Arrows to kite her with ease, making it impossible for TA to ever get back on top.

Templar Assassin's entire game plan revolves around hitting an item timing and snowballing by deleting key targets. Drow Ranger effectively slams that window shut. Unable to reliably solo-kill a core hero, the TA is forced into a much harder game of hunting supports or split-pushing away from the action. This gives Drow and her allies the freedom to group up, pressure objectives, and take fights on their own terms. TA has to hope for a perfect gank with multiple teammates, because a direct confrontation is incredibly difficult for her to win.
