How this matchup plays

Trying to burst Drow Ranger down is Void Spirit's entire game plan, but it's a real standoff. Void Spirit has all the mobility to close the gap on a backliner, but Drow's Gust is a perfect answer. A well-timed silence and knockback can completely stop his initiation, leaving him exposed and slowed by Frost Arrows. On the other hand, if Void Spirit can catch her without Gust ready, or if he can dodge it with Dissimilate, he often has the burst to kill her before her team can react. The fight depends entirely on who sees who first and which defensive cooldowns are available.

This tension shapes the whole mid-game. Drow Ranger wants to group with her team, using her high physical damage to secure towers and control the map. Void Spirit is tasked with being the counter-initiator, constantly probing the fog of war for a chance to pick her off and break the siege.
