Earth Spirit vs Lifestealer

How this matchup plays

Setting up a kill with stuns and silences feels impossible against Lifestealer. The core of Earth Spirit’s kit is controlling enemies with his spells, but Lifestealer’s Rage makes him completely immune to all of it. A full combo from Earth Spirit that would normally lock down a hero does practically nothing. He can try to kick Lifestealer away with Boulder Smash before the magic immunity comes out, but that's a small window. Once Rage is active, Lifestealer can ignore all the rolling, kicking, and pulling, and simply run at whomever he wants.

This dynamic forces Earth Spirit to play reactively for the entire game. He has to avoid initiating on Lifestealer and instead focus on other targets, hoping his team can kite out the Rage duration. The problem is, Lifestealer often wants to be the one starting the fight, and he can do so knowing Earth Spirit provides no real obstacle. This lets Lifestealer tear through the backline or focus down key supports while Earth Spirit can only wait for Rage to end or try to save allies with a desperate kick.
