Earth Spirit vs Windranger

How this matchup plays

Trying to land a key Shackleshot becomes a nightmare when Earth Spirit is in the game. Windranger relies on enemies holding still or being near trees, but Earth Spirit's entire kit is about repositioning everyone. He can kick an ally out of a stun, pull a remnant to silence Windranger as she aims a Powershot, or simply roll on top of her to interrupt her setup. Her physical evasion from Windrun means very little against his magical stuns and silence, so she can't reliably use it to escape his control once he gets on top of her.

Throughout a match, this disruption is constant. A gank from Earth Spirit is incredibly hard for Windranger to survive in lane. Later, during teamfights, her effectiveness plummets. Committing to a Focus Fire on a target requires her to stay in range and attack, making her a predictable and stationary target for him to initiate on. If she instead tries to burst a key hero, Earth Spirit can often save that ally by kicking them away to safety, completely wasting her cooldown. He forces her to play from extreme distances or wait until he’s already used his spells, severely limiting her impact.
