Earthshaker vs Huskar

How this matchup plays

Running at the enemy backline as Huskar feels a lot riskier when an Earthshaker is on the other team. Huskar relies on getting in a target's face with Life Break and staying there, but Earthshaker's whole kit is about lockdown. A well-placed Fissure can stop Huskar's advance entirely, and the chain stuns from Aftershock can hold him in place long enough for a team to burst him down, no matter how much magic resistance he has. Even a solo Earthshaker can be a threat with an Enchant Totem follow-up.

This dynamic makes mid-game fights very tense. A patient Huskar will try to wait for Earthshaker to use his spells on someone else before committing, or will try to jump the Earthshaker himself before he can react. On the other side, the Earthshaker player is often holding his spells, waiting specifically for that Life Break animation. The outcome of a fight often depends entirely on who gets the jump on whom. If Huskar is the one caught by the initiation, he dies quickly. If he gets on his target before the stuns come out, he can often win the fight before being controlled.
