Ember Spirit vs Luna

How this matchup plays

Trying to burst Luna down as Ember Spirit can be a real test of patience. She naturally gets high armor from her attributes and often builds items like Manta Style, which can dispel Searing Chains. Her sustained physical damage is also very high, meaning Ember can’t afford to stand and fight for long. On the other side of it, Luna has a hard time killing Ember Spirit herself. Her most dangerous spell, Eclipse, is frequently dodged entirely by a well-timed Sleight of Fist or by Ember zipping out to a Fire Remnant. This creates a standoff where neither hero has a simple way to finish the other off.

The outcome of the matchup usually depends on which hero's team enables their game plan better. Luna wants to group up early, use her pushing power with Moon Glaives to take objectives, and force fights around her team. She thrives in a five-on-five brawl where she can sit in the back and deal damage. Ember Spirit prefers the opposite; he wants to split the map, create pressure, and find pickoffs on lone heroes. The game often becomes a contest between Luna's teamfight push and Ember's map control, with the winner being whoever dictates the pace of the game.
