How this matchup plays

Picking one of these heroes into the other is a bet on your team's execution. Enigma’s Black Hole pierces spell immunity, meaning it will always trap a Lifestealer even if he activates Rage. This threat alone can dictate how Lifestealer is allowed to play in teamfights. However, Lifestealer can use that same Rage preemptively to run past any initial lockdown and kill Enigma before he can get his ultimate off. If Enigma’s channeling is interrupted, his biggest contribution is gone. It's a high-stakes duel of who uses their key spell first and most effectively.

This tension defines the mid and late game. Enigma focuses on positioning and waiting for the perfect moment to Blink in for a multi-hero Black Hole. His team plays to enable this, clearing wards and providing vision. Lifestealer’s team does the opposite: they hunt. Their goal is to find Enigma on the map and burst him down before he becomes a problem. Fights are rarely a simple back-and-forth; they are decided by which team achieves its objective first, making the outcome feel very dependent on vision control and initiation.
